Verbier

In terms of off piste - few resorts rival Verbier. This sole fact means the resort attracts some interesting characters from the ski world. It also boasts an impressive nightlife, geared towards the extreme skiers and boarders, but also to the affluent crowd who travel up from Geneva.

It also has an extensive on piste network, spanning 410km, although a lot of this is disjointed and difficult to access easily. However, recently the resort has started to look at where it needs to improve, and actually done something about it.

Overall it is a great place to hit the mountain and also the apres ski, although it can be a little pricey for those used to more budget resorts.
