Torino Olympic Stadium, Turin
This stadium was build for the Winter Olympic Games in 2006 and hosted the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. As part of the Olympic legacy, local Serie A football club inherited the stadium after the games. Previously, they were ground sharing at the Stadio delle Alpi with Juventus.
This is the third season that Torino have used this ground. Juventus are also ground sharing here whilst their stadium undergoes a multi million euro revamp, to reduce the capacity from 69,000 to 45,000 and include a museum and megastore. Juventus are the biggest followed team in Italy, but struggled to fill the stadium, as many of their fans live in other parts of the country.
The Olympic stadium only has a capacity of 28,000, but this means that fans are close to the action and the atmosphere bounces around the ground. The home and travelling fans can enter is some very vocal and visual banter and displays.
