Soldeu
Soldeu just gets better and better. 15 years ago it was a small ski area, an antiquated lift system and basic accomodation with questionable food. Now it is in the centre of the Grandvalira ski area with a fast, modern lift system, has the best range of hotels in Andorra and a wide selection of decent some restaurants.
Before the rise of Bulgaria, Andorra is where most Brits came to learn to ski - as it was cheap and fun. Now, Soldeu has had to reposition itself to a slightly different clientel, who still want value but also quality.
With the world economy still struggling, Andorra could well have a good season as people want their Euros to go further. If you have had enough of getting ripped off in France and Austria, then Andorra and Soldeu could well be worth a look, you will be pleasantly surprised.
