La Thuile
La Thuile lies at the top of the Aosta valley and is relatively unknown. The village is quite quiet as are the pistes. It appeals largely to families and couples who are of a beginner or intermediate standard. However, the snow conditions are good and the more advanced skier will find plenty of off piste and challenging runs over in La Rosiere.
The resort has a picturesque charm, with a stream running through it and as with all Italian resorts it bosts some excellent restaurants both on and off the piste.
Nightlife is limited, although there are a couple of livelier bars where the workers and locals congregate. Things are certainly on a smaller scale than other resorts, which doesn't mean you can't still have a great time.
