Claviere

Claviere is a small resort on the French-Italian border and is part of the Milky Way ski area. The village consists of 9 hotels and a few bars and restaurants stretched out along the road leading to France. It is a quiet relaxing resort that caters for families and school groups.

Skiing into the neighbouring resort of Mongenevre is very easy. There is an easy link into Sansicario, and from there you can drop into either Sauze D'Oulx or Sestriere and take full advantage of the 400km of piste available.

Nightlife is faily low key, often based in the hotels or the couple of bars in the village. There is a popular torch-light decent evening which includes food on the mountain before skiing back down to Claviere.
