Arinsal
This is the smallest of the Andorran ski areas, although it has recently been linked with the nearby resort of Pal. The lift pass also covers the resort of Arcalis which is a fabulous and unspoilt ski area that few people make the effort to head to.
Arinsal is certainly cheap for a holiday and compared to other resorts you won't spend a fortune here either. The ski school is excellent and has many instructors whose first language is English, which helps if you are new to skiing or boarding.
The nightlife is legendary, but probably not as wild as 10-15 years ago as the resort has encouraged families to come, rather than the beginners who class apres ski as important as their time on the mountain.
The resort is small and friendly. The reps, ski instructors, hotel staff and bar staff will all do their best to ensure you have a good time and want to return.
