AC Milan vs Novara
Top of the table AC Milan take on the team that was promoted to Serie A this summer in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia. This is like a derby for Novara, which is a small town situated just half an hour from the San Siro. Last time these two teams met, Novara were in Serie B, but they brought 10,000 supporters with them to the Milan.
AC Milan will expect to get past Novara and set themselves up for a match against either Lazio or Serie B side Hellas Verona just a week later. Milan will probably field a few of their fringe players who want to make it into the first team. AC Milan will have played the derby against Inter Milan on the Sunday night before this game so will either be full of confidence, or maybe have taken a knock and be ripe for a Cup exit.
Either way, Novara will be hoping to pull off a major upset against their neighbours.
